The Lindsay Chorale returned to the Montalto Estate on 21st & 22nd December 2019. They sang a variety of Christmas music and carols while guests enjoyed a festive afternoon tea in the beautifully decorated Carriage Rooms. It was an uplifting finish to the Chorale’s 2019 engagements. Special thanks again to Sheelagh Greer for her superb musical directorship and to Darren Day for providing piano accompaniment.

The Lindsay Chorale held a Wine & Cheese evening concert in The Queen’s Hall, Newtownards, on Friday 29th November 2019. This was the third successive year for the Chorale to host such an event and it again proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable evening for all.
The programme included favourites such as Anthem (from the musical Chess), Bridge Over Troubled Water and The Impossible Dream as well as some Christmas music to start the festive season. Audience participation was encouraged during The Twelve Days of Christmas and during an entertaining performance by John Weir (with a special guest assistant) of Funiculi Funicula.

Christ Church in Dundonald marked the first outing of the Lindsay Chorale for 2016 as part of their fundraising concert for Christian Aid. The programme this evening included favourites Moon River, Over the Rainbow, and Holy Holy Holy and again Brian Johnston debuted some hilarious new material as compere. We were also joined by the very talented Dr. Gareth Lewis as our accompanist this evening, as Sheelagh was unavailable. Thank you, Gareth, for stepping in!
Thank to you to Christ Church for inviting us to help you raise funds for such a worthy cause and good luck in reaching your total! We also greatly appreciate the wonderful supper you provided for us, it was very generous and we hope to see you again!

The Lindsay Chorale were delighted to be asked back to sing at Montalto, the stunning estate in Ballynahinch, for their annual series of Christmas Concerts. Following the popularity of the 2014 programme, Montalto extended the concerts to cover 4 nights.
This was a wonderful week of festive music which the Chorale always look forward to. David Anderson from Montalto acted as MC, while John Ashe again entertained us with a selection of Christmas readings. Music this year featured a range of popular and sacred Christmas music, and several new pieced from the Chorale which were warmly received.
The Lindsay Chorale would like to thank their friends at Montalto, especially David, who continue to invite us to provide entertainment for this popular festive week.
Many Happy Returns to Rachel and Brian who celebrated their birthdays during this week!
A very Happy Christmas to you and yours and hope to see you in 2016!
